Waste-Powered Energy Plant: CM Meets Locals

On Wednesday, chief minister Sheila Dikshit also met agitating residents to tell them that the proposed plant was safe.

The Central Pollution Control Board is now on a lookout for global experts to come up with a technical solution to make the plant “safe" for residents living in the vicinity — in sort of an admission that the present technology may not be safe.

The process will spread over a month as it involves scouting at a global level and the report will advise the Ministry of Environment and Forests on what changes should be made. Read the full report here.
