Bhuvan is a grassroots conservationist who has recently been selected as a Project Leader by Sanctuary's Mud on Boots Project. He is focussed on the restoration and protection of the Bisle-Charmadi landscape, which provides the only link between Kudremukh Tiger Reserve and Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary. Here, Bhuvan is implementing conservation interventions for four umbrella species and their niche ecosystems. These species are the small-clawed otter, Nilgiri marten, lion-tailed macaque and Malabar Pied Hornbill. Alongside this, Bhuvan works to bring conservation awareness to local communities through workshops, talks, presentations and nature trails. Bhuvan's work is advised and guided by scientists Dr. Meghna Krishnadas and Sachin Sridhara.
