The president, who is visiting the state for the first time, has shown his keenness on visiting the floating restaurant MV Ganga Vihar on Wednesday.
Zoellick, who arrived here Tuesday evening by a chartered flight, was accompanied by Union forest and environment minister Jairam Ramesh. The World Bank chief will also visit the Ganga dolphin project.
Apart from his team that consists of 15 people, another group of senior officers, including the district magistrate and SSP, will accompany him on the boat. He will enjoy the cruise for an hour starting at 8.30 am, taking full view of the Ganga.
The cruise will start from Gandhi Ghat and after reaching Collectorate Ghat, it will proceed to Gandhi Setu and again return. The president will be served tea, coffee and some selected cookies on board, sources said.
The floating restaurant, a dream project of Bihar CM, is a high revenue grosser for the tourism department. After its inauguration in July last year, the CM held a cabinet meeting along with senior bureaucrats on board. Read the full report here.
