Distribution information and taxonomy are given. Synonyms not just in English but also French, German, Indonesian and Japanese, along with the scientific names are given. One can also choose to view the list according to the taxonomic order and nomenclature of the preferred authority. There is a section that also explains some of the ways to contribute to the site such as submitting photographs, making additions to checklists, contributing to a checklist from a new region or even providing information on a bird's life history.
