Foxfire bonnet
Foxfire bonnet Mycena sp., are commonly known as bonnets. Some species ooze out latex or odours when crushed or broken. Some like the one here, are bioluminescent and this glow is referred to as foxfire. One advantage of bioluminescence may lie in its potential to attract insects that can disperse the mushroom’s spores.
